Five Minute Friday – In Real Life

10 Sep

Task: Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.  Today’s topic is “in real life…”

GO

In real life… everything is not always perfect.  I make mistakes, I doubt myself, I question at every corner.

In real life… things are messy.  Raising a Lil Guy means dealing with scratched up knees, boogie picking and potty training accidents.

In real life… people are not always nice.  Assumptions get made, rumors get started and grudges are often held.

In real life… money can control your entire being.  It defines status, changes perspective and can destroy you if you let it.

In real life… there is no hero.  There are certainly plenty of villains and there are others who can alternately build you back up.  But, there is no single hero to fix things without some of your help.

In real life… there is love.  But, love is a tricky thing.  So strong at first; why does life itself have to wear love down and test it over time?

Real life… is just complex.  Everyone has their own version of “real life” and we must learn to understand it as best we can and embrace it.

STOP

Money isn’t everything…. people can be very happy and lead wonderful lives without a penny.

Your life is what you make it.

So very true…life is messy at times. Sometimes… more than others!
